New Year, Very New Outlook on Life

Happy New Year Everyone!

So…..Good morning/evening everyone! Obviously from the beginning of that sentence, you can probably tell that I am in a pretty wonderful mood. Why might you ask? Simply put, I was blessed to live to see another day and another year. I don’t have everything I want but I do have everything that I need.

We may not be able to control every outcome or every variable in our lives but we can be thankful, learn from the past, and aim high for a better tomorrow. Last year taught me this. These days, I am thankful for every good and perfect gift that comes from above including life. I don’t need a holiday to celebrate or be thankful everyday anymore. I appreciate even the insignificant things more than ever now. Can you blame me?

Everyday won’t be perfect right now but at least we can help lift each other’s hearts and in turn help those who may need it be able to hold on and get through these tough times that we are all facing.

People would be amazed to see what a little joy, encouraging words, and helpful information can do if we boost them and let them spread more than the constant depressing issues that we are facing everyday now (even when we try our best to avoid them).

Gardening Is Essential These Days

I am going to embrace getting my seeds in the dirt so that my family and I can enjoy fresh (and free) food, enjoying some hobbies that I had been putting off (including learning and cooking new recipes), art, and much more! I don’t know about your area but where I live, people for miles and miles have bought out seeds to last them up through another 12 months. Gardens and greenhouses are just about everywhere and almost everyone has fruit trees. I think it’s a smart move because grocery stores are coming up short more and more on fresh vegetables as well as other things. I have been gardening for about 10 years so it’s actually something I love to do that helps with stress. Next thing I know, I end up having more veggies than I can store and cook. Also, my children are now seeing how important it is that we cook more at home and avoid eating out due to the pandemic to be safe. They’re now seeing how it just tastes better anyway when you’re cooking with fresh ingredients. Before now, they teased saying I was getting old because I garden and all of that hardcore but now, they’re so thankful lol.

www.mllwg.com don't give up
Everyday that we are blessed to see another day, it’s another chance to overcome all things.

I can go on and on about it but I guess I’ll save that for another time. I hope everyone continues to have a great day and just keep your head up. Remember it will get better. Sometimes you have to go through something in order to get something. Sometimes the only way out of something is through it. Just don’t give up. We are learning to be thankful for everything including the hard times that we are able to get through. When we learn to appreciate the struggle and patiently hold on till the end, we appreciate the reward more. Everyday that I see the sun shine when I go to check on my plants, I just thank God. With all of what we are seeing go on right now, it is a blessing just to have that going on.

I will be posting this Saturday and just talking more about the new year that we have entered into as well as providing more helpful information on herbs that help with stress management as well as maintain our health naturally.

Please, be kind, stay safe, and stay alive
